FAQ

  • HOW DO I BOOK?
    Bookings up to 8 guests are managed exclusively online, via Resy & the Acme website. Please visit the 'Bookings' section.
  • HOW DO I BOOK FOR MORE THAN 8 PEOPLE?
    Groups of 9 - 20 guests are considered a Large Group Booking and require that the table pre-select from our seasonal feasting menu. To inquire about an event, please contact us here.
  • DOES ACME HAVE PRIVATE HIRE OPTIONS?
    Yes, however, Acme does not have a private dining room. Private hire requires booking the entire terrace, the entire inside dining room, or the whole restaurant. If you would like to enquire about a private event, or if you would like to book 20+ guests, please visit the 'Events' page.
  • DOES ACME OFFER CATERING?
    Acme is always open to catering external events, weddings festivals & parties. To enquire, please visit the 'Events' page.
  • DOES ACME ACCEPT WALK-INS?
    Yes. While we strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment, we occasionally have tables open up at the start or end of service. We do not keep any tables specifically for walk-ins.
  • CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY RESERVATION?
    All reservations are managed exclusively online, through the Resy booking platform. You can modify or cancel your booking via the “Manage Reservation” & “Cancel Reservation” links in your confirmation email, subject to the cancellation terms & conditions.
  • WHAT DO I DO IF I'M RUNNING LATE?
    Acme will hold you're table for up to 15 minutes. After that time, we cannot guarantee availability. Please notify us via Resy if you are running late, and we will attempt to hold your table longer, if possible.
  • WILL IT BE LOUD?
    Yes.
  • WILL IT BE SMOKY?
    Yes.
  • WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE AN ALLERGY OR DIETARY RESTRICTION?
    It is the responsibility of all guests to notify their server of any allergies or dietary requirements on arrival. If possible, please make a note of this in your booking, so the kitchen can accommodate you as best as possible. Please note that we will do our best to accomodate any allergy, however, we cannot guarantee that there will not be trace elements of some allergens in the kitchen (like nuts). While Acme offers meat and fish dishes, we lead with vegetables and have many vegetarian, vegan & gluten-free options.
  • ARE DOGS WELCOME?
    We love dogs at Acme! Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the terrace. Please do not bring bedding, as this is a hazard for our staff.
  • ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
    Yes. However, we ask that you don't bring 'under 13s' after 8 pm. We have two high chairs available on a first-come, first-served basis. We also have a changing table in the disabled bathroom. Please note that we are a small restaurant, and may not be able to accommodate prams inside.
  • DO YOU HAVE STEP-FREE ACCESS?
    There is a ramp up to the terrace, and one leading into the restaurant. Acme also has a disabled bathroom.
  • CAN WE BRING OUR OWN CAKE/DESSERT?
    Acme has a £25 cakeage fee and can store this for you in a fridge upon arrival. Please make a note of this in your booking. Acme does not provide cake candles.
  • CAN WE BRING OUR OWN WINE?
    You are welcome to bring your own wine, subject to a corkage fee of £30 per 750ml, and £120 for magnums. Please make a note of this in your booking.
  • IS ACME HIRING?
